Medical Oncology & Hematology
Dr. Vernon Wu is a board-certified oncologist-hematologist who specializes in benign and malignant hematologic conditions, with a particular focus on leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. Dr. Wu received his Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University and his Doctor of Medicine from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Stony Brook University Hospital and his Fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Northwell Health. Dr. Wu has dedicated his time to his research that focuses on developing novel anti-cancer peptides for pancreatic cancer, post-bone marrow transplant anti-tumor cellular immunity, risk stratification in smoldering multiple myeloma and follicular lymphoma, and healthcare disparities in rectal cancer. His work has been presented at many national meetings and published in several peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Wu is fluent in English and conversational Cantonese.
